Congratulations to DOCS’ newest black belt member, Nate Antinozzi. He just passed his grueling belt test with flying colors and will be missed when he leaves for overseas. Thanks to everyone involved in making this happen.

DOCS At Midwest Open 2010 In Chicago

DOCS sent a team to this E level tournament, which means competitors collect points for the Olympic Judo Team membership. Here are the medals:
Zaur Jalilzade: Gold medal @ 66kg
Brandon Holmberg: Silver medal @ heavyweight (100+ kg), he was the lightest competitor in the heavyweight division
Gilberto Monroy: Bronze medal in BJJ competition

Submission Hunt

DOCS Gym is getting ready to collect some medals at the “Greater Midwest Submission Hunt” BJJ and Submission Wrestling Tournament May 15th, 2010. This will be held in the huge field-house complex at Champlin Park High School. Plan to make a day of it and bring family and friends. You will see all ages, sizes, styles and, with multiple mats there is constant action all day.
